You can offer to buy a collectible shown on someone's profile, in Stars or TON, even if it is not for sale. Telegram holds your payment for 6 to 72 hours and refunds it in full if the owner declines or the offer expires.

How purchase offers work
A purchase offer lets you bid on a collectible gift shown on another user's profile, even if it is not for sale. You set a price in Stars or TON and a time limit. Telegram holds the amount until the owner accepts or declines, or the offer expires.
Telegram added offers on 12 December 2025 as a protected way to make direct sales, keeping buyers and owners safe from scams.
How to make an offer
The option appears only on gifts that accept offers. If the owner charges for messages, you also pay that fee to send the offer.
- Open the gift on the owner's profile.
- Tap ⋯ or ⋮ and choose Offer to Buy.
- Choose Stars or TON and enter a price at or above the gift's minimum offer.
- Pick how long the offer stays open: 6, 12, 24, 36, 48 or 72 hours.
- Confirm. The amount is reserved from your balance.
What happens next
If the owner declines, or the time runs out, Telegram refunds the full amount instantly. If the owner accepts, Telegram transfers the gift to you automatically.
The reservation and any refund appear in your Stars transaction history.
Reserved amounts stay locked while an offer is open. Three open offers of 1,000 Stars each lock 3,000 Stars until they resolve.
If you receive an offer
Telegram shows how close the offer is to the gift's estimated value. Compare it with the collection floor and recent sales of similar gifts before you accept.
You receive the offer price minus Telegram's commission. By default you keep 80% of a Stars offer and 90% of a TON offer: 1,000 Stars pays 800 Stars, and 100 TON pays 90 TON.
Stars or TON
For TON offers, Telegram converts the gift's minimum from Stars to US dollars and then to TON at current rates.
Telegram's estimated value is in US dollars, which makes it a common yardstick for comparing a Stars offer with a TON offer.
Offers on gift marketplaces
Gift marketplaces have their own offer tools. Portals supports offers on gifts, and Tonnel's GiftHub (25 September 2026) lets you send offers for gifts in other Tonnel users' profiles, with an anti-spam fee under 0.5 TON per offer.
Telegram's built-in offers keep the money inside Telegram until the deal resolves. A deal arranged in private messages has no such protection.
