What a Telegram Gift offer is
A purchase offer lets a user propose a price for a collectible gift displayed on another user's Telegram profile. Telegram documents offers in Stars or TON when the exact gift and account are eligible.
This is different from buying a public marketplace listing. The owner has not necessarily listed the gift for sale; the offer creates a protected, time-limited proposal that the owner can accept or reject.

How to make an offer
Telegram's user guide says to open the collectible, use the item menu and choose Offer to Buy. The buyer sets an amount and an expiry period, then confirms the payment reservation in Telegram.
Confirm the exact collectible, recipient, currency and duration before paying. A copied profile link or private message should not replace the in-app confirmation screen.
Reserved funds, expiry and refunds
The offered amount is reserved for the duration of the offer. If the owner rejects the offer or the offer expires, Telegram says the full payment is refunded automatically.
Reserved funds are not available for another use while the offer remains active. Do not create several overlapping offers unless you can tolerate the combined balance being locked until acceptance, rejection or expiry.
What the gift owner sees
Telegram can show how close an incoming offer is to its estimated value. That estimate is context, not an appraisal or a guaranteed resale result. The owner should compare the exact model and attributes with current market evidence.
If the owner accepts, Telegram automatically transfers the gift to the buyer. Before accepting, verify the currency, gross amount, fee deduction and net proceeds shown in the final confirmation.
Stars and TON are different settlement units
An offer denominated in Stars should not be compared directly with a TON listing without a current conversion framework and fee context. Stars are an in-product balance, while TON is a blockchain asset with its own price and transfer costs.
Use the currency actually shown in the offer, then calculate the seller's net and the buyer's all-in cost separately. Do not replace a missing rate or fee with zero.
Why in-app offers are safer than private deals
Telegram positions purchase offers as a protected alternative to private-message deals: funds are reserved, refunds are automatic after rejection or expiry, and an accepted offer transfers the gift through Telegram.
A user asking you to cancel the in-app offer and pay through a bot, wallet address or private link removes those protections. Never share login codes, seed phrases or private keys to receive or refund an offer.
