Three ways to sell a Telegram gift
You can sell only collectible (upgraded) gifts. The quickest way is Telegram's own marketplace: open the gift on your profile, tap Sell and set a price in Stars or TON. You can also sell it on Getgems, on Fragment after moving it to a TON wallet, or in a marketplace app such as Portals or Tonnel.
A regular gift cannot be listed. You can keep it, upgrade it to a collectible first, or convert it to Stars soon after you receive it. Conversion removes the gift and can return fewer Stars than it cost.
Step by step: sell inside Telegram
Telegram's marketplace is the simplest route: the gift stays in the app, and buyers pay in Stars or TON.
When the gift sells, you get the price minus Telegram's commission. With the default settings in Telegram's developer docs, the seller keeps 80% of a Stars price and 90% of a TON price. Check the amount you will receive before you confirm.
- Open your profile, go to Gifts and tap the collectible.
- Tap Sell. Some gifts can be listed only after a set date; Telegram shows it on the gift.
- Enter a price in Stars or TON. Telegram sets a minimum and a maximum price.
- Confirm. The gift appears in the marketplace and gets a Sale label on your profile.
- To cancel, open the gift and tap Unlist.
Accept a buyer's offer
Buyers can also send an offer in Stars or TON for a collectible on your profile. Telegram holds the buyer's payment while the offer is open. If you accept, the gift goes to the buyer automatically and you receive the price minus the same commission as a normal sale.
The buyer chooses how long the offer lasts, from 6 to 72 hours. If you decline or it expires, the buyer gets a full refund.
Step by step: sell on Getgems or Fragment
Getgems can take a gift straight from Telegram, without a wallet. Fragment sells gifts as NFTs on the TON blockchain, so there the gift first has to move to your TON wallet.
Getgems charges 2% on Telegram gift sales. Fragment's FAQ lists a 5% platform fee on each sale of a collectible, plus small blockchain fees of about 1 TON.
Getgems warns that only collectible gifts can be sent this way, and only from a personal account. A regular gift sent to @gemsrelayer is lost.
- Getgems: in your Getgems profile, open Edit Profile and link your Telegram account under Connected Telegram Account.
- Getgems: open the @gemsrelayer bot's profile, tap ⋯ → Send a Gift, pick the collectible and send it for 25 Stars. It appears in your Getgems profile within a few minutes, ready to list.
- Fragment: in Telegram, open the gift and choose Transfer → Send via Blockchain.
- Fragment: enter your two-step password. Telegram opens a Fragment page where you finish moving the gift to your wallet. Some gifts can be moved only after a set date.
- Fragment: connect the wallet, open My Assets and choose Sell or Put up for auction.
Sell in Portals or Tonnel
Portals and Tonnel are marketplace apps that open inside Telegram. Portals' bot profile (@portals) names @GiftsToPortals as its deposit account: you send the gift there with Telegram's Transfer button, then set the price in the Portals app. Tonnel opens from @tonnel_network_bot.
Portals has charged a 2% commission since 10 July 2026, taken from the sale: a 100 TON sale pays the seller 98 TON. Tonnel's total fee has been 0.5% since 27 September 2026 (a 0.25% referral fee and a 0.25% protocol fee); its post does not say whether the buyer or the seller pays it.
A transfer to either app can cost Stars or be free; Telegram shows the price before you confirm.
Open these apps only from their official bots, not from links sent in private messages.
Set the price from the floor
Start from the floor: the cheapest listing in the collection. Then look at listings with the same model, because the collection floor usually belongs to the most common traits.
Example: the collection floor is 10 TON and the cheapest gift with your model is listed at 14 TON. A price of 13.5 TON makes yours the cheapest offer for that model. A price of 20 TON can take longer to sell.
A rare backdrop or symbol can justify a higher price. Look at other listings with the same trait before you add a premium. GiftsWatch gift pages and the floor tracker show collection floors with the update date.
What you receive after fees
Work out the payout before you list. On a 100 TON sale, Getgems and Portals leave 98 TON, Fragment 95 TON and Telegram 90 TON at its default commission. Tonnel's total fee is 0.5%. Blockchain sales also pay a small network fee.
Example: you bought the gift for 80 TON and sell it on Getgems for 100 TON. You keep 98 TON, so the result is 18 TON before network fees.
Stay safe when you sell
Sell through Telegram's marketplace, its offers or the official marketplace apps. Telegram holds an offer's payment until the gift moves to the buyer. A private deal where you send the gift first and wait for payment has no such protection.
Enter your two-step password only inside the Telegram app. Keep your login code and wallet seed phrase to yourself.
