What Fragment is
Fragment (fragment.com) is a marketplace for Telegram collectibles: usernames, anonymous +888 numbers and collectible gifts. It runs on the TON blockchain, and you pay in Gram, TON's coin, which was called Toncoin until June 2026. Telegram links to Fragment for collectible usernames, Stars rewards and gift export.
Fragment also sells Telegram Stars and Premium, funds Telegram Ads accounts and pays out creator rewards. Its terms name Fragment Corp., a company registered in the Seychelles, as the operator.
Every collectible bought on Fragment is an NFT in the buyer's TON wallet. Fragment's terms call the platform non-custodial: the company has no access to your wallet.

Is Fragment legit?
Fragment is the platform Telegram itself links to, so the service is genuine; the risk is fake copies of it. Telegram's FAQ says collectible usernames “can be bought and sold through third-party platforms like Fragment”. Telegram's developer documentation sends gift exports and channel revenue withdrawals to Fragment pages, and Telegram's blog links fragment.com for Stars rewards and Premium giveaways.
Telegram calls Fragment a third-party platform. It is run by Fragment Corp., and its terms treat Telegram Messenger Inc. as a separate company.
Fragment's terms say all purchases are non-refundable, the company cannot restore a lost wallet and it may limit services in some countries without notice. Blockchain transactions cannot be undone.
Fragment works only at fragment.com. Type the address yourself and check it before you connect a wallet.
What you can buy and sell on Fragment
Fragment has a separate tab for each product:
- Gifts: buy, sell or auction exported collectible gifts. Filter by collection, model, backdrop and symbol, and by For sale, On auction or Sold.
- Usernames: buy at auction or direct sale, or auction your own basic username. A one-time 5 Gram conversion fee applies to that first auction.
- Numbers: anonymous +888 numbers that log in to Telegram without a SIM card. Since 2022 they are only resold between users.
- Stars and Premium: buy them for yourself or someone else, or prepay a giveaway, in Gram.
- Ads and rewards: fund a Telegram Ads account. Channel owners and bot developers withdraw their rewards here.
How to buy a gift on Fragment
You need a TON wallet with enough Gram for the price plus about 1 Gram in network fees.
- Install a TON wallet such as Tonkeeper or MyTonWallet. Write down its list of recovery words: losing them means losing the wallet and everything in it.
- Top up the wallet with Gram. Fragment's gift pages suggest an exchange or @wallet in Telegram. Copy your wallet address from the wallet app to avoid typos.
- Open fragment.com, tap Connect TON and approve the connection in your wallet.
- Go to Gifts, pick a collection and set the For sale filter. Sort by price to see the cheapest first.
- Open the gift. Its page shows the model, backdrop and symbol with their rarity, how many were issued, the owner's wallet and the ownership history.
- Tap Buy and confirm in your wallet. The gift arrives in that wallet, usually within seconds; Fragment says to allow up to 30 minutes.
How Fragment auctions work
Fragment runs open auctions as well as fixed-price sales. To bid, open an item on auction, enter an amount, confirm and pay from your wallet.
If someone outbids you, your Gram comes back automatically, normally within seconds. The bid that reaches the blockchain first wins at that price. A seller can set a maximum price; paying it ends the auction at once.
On a gift page, a Sell Price marked with an asterisk means the owner will sell for that amount without an auction.
How to sell a gift on Fragment
To sell on Fragment, the gift first has to leave Telegram as an NFT.
If you only want Stars, you can sell inside Telegram instead: open the gift on your profile, tap Sell and set a price.
- Turn on two-step verification in Telegram (Settings > Privacy and Security). Export needs your password.
- In Telegram open My Profile > Gifts, tap the gift and choose Transfer > Send via Blockchain. Some gifts can be exported only after a set date.
- Telegram gives you a Fragment link to import the gift as an NFT. Connect the TON wallet that should receive it and confirm.
- On Fragment open My Assets, select the gift and choose Sell for a fixed price, or Put up for auction with a minimum bid and an optional maximum price.
- When it sells, Fragment deducts its 5% fee and the rest goes to your wallet.
Fragment fees
Fragment's FAQ lists a 5% platform fee on each sale of a collectible, for direct sales and for auctions. Blockchain fees of about 1 Gram come on top and are outside Fragment's control.
Example: you sell a gift for 1,000 TON. Fragment keeps 50 TON and you receive 950 TON, minus the network fee.
Other charges: a one-time 5 Gram fee when a basic username is first auctioned, and a small non-refundable fee for an offer on a username marked Taken. Fragment's terms leave taxes and local fees to the user.
Wallet, Gram and your Telegram account
Fragment works with non-custodial TON wallets such as Tonkeeper and MyTonWallet. Nobody, Fragment included, can restore a wallet if you lose its recovery words.
1 TON is 1 Gram: the rename took effect on 15 June 2026 and did not change balances or NFTs. GiftsWatch still labels prices in TON.
Connect Telegram links your account for Telegram services such as usernames, Stars and Premium. Fragment says it does not store information that ties your wallet to your Telegram account.
Showing a Fragment gift on your Telegram profile
A gift bought on Fragment sits in your TON wallet. To show it in Telegram, open My Assets > Gifts on Fragment, choose Transfer to Telegram, pick the recipient's account and confirm in your wallet. Getgems' help, updated 15 January 2026, says Fragment requires KYC verification for this step.
Telegram also supports hosted gifts: an NFT gift can appear on a profile while the TON wallet stays its owner. The owner can still sell, transfer or export it.
How Fragment differs from other gift marketplaces
The main difference is where the gift lives and what you pay with:
- Telegram's marketplace: inside the app, priced in Stars or TON, no wallet needed. The gift stays a Telegram gift.
- Getgems: also a TON NFT marketplace, with a 2% fee on Telegram gifts and an off-chain option.
- Portals and Tonnel: mini apps inside Telegram with an in-app TON balance. Gifts stay in their inventory until you withdraw them. Portals charges 2%, Tonnel 0.5% in total.
- Fragment: the platform behind Telegram's gift export. Gifts are NFTs in your own wallet, and the seller pays 5% of each sale.
