Getgems Review: Telegram Gifts on a TON NFT Marketplace

How Getgems works for Telegram gifts: on-chain and off-chain gifts, the 2% fee, the wallet you need and how to move gifts between Telegram and Getgems.

What Getgems is

Getgems is a marketplace for NFTs and Telegram collectibles on the TON blockchain. Telegram gifts, stickers, usernames and anonymous numbers are bought and sold there next to regular NFT collections. It works in a browser at getgems.io and as the @GetgemsNftBot mini app in Telegram.

To start, you connect a TON wallet; Getgems' help recommends Keeper and MyWallet. Then you can buy, sell, mint and transfer items, run auctions and make offers. Getgems also sells Telegram Stars and Premium and says no KYC is needed for that.

Getgems' help pages give prices and fees in Gram (TON's coin, called Toncoin until June 2026; 1 TON = 1 Gram). GiftsWatch writes the same amounts in TON.

On-chain and off-chain gifts

Getgems handles Telegram gifts in two forms. An on-chain gift is a full NFT in your TON wallet: you own it on the blockchain and can send it to any wallet.

An off-chain gift stays on Telegram's servers and is tied to your Getgems profile. It is not in your wallet. You can mint it into an NFT or withdraw it back to Telegram.

This matters when you send a gift to someone. An off-chain gift arrives in the recipient's Getgems profile, not in their wallet. A gift page shows an Offchain label until the gift is minted.

How to buy a gift on Getgems

Buying takes a TON wallet with enough Gram for the price plus network fees.

To buy several items with one signature, use the cart. Older v4R2 wallets can do four operations per transaction, W5 wallets up to 100. Lucky Buy is a separate option: you pick a win probability from 1% to 75% for a lower price. A failed attempt gives you one bonus Gem, an internal point that cannot be sold or withdrawn. If you win before all your attempts are used, the rest is refunded.

  • Open getgems.io or @GetgemsNftBot and go to the Telegram gifts collection.
  • Pick a gift and check its number, model, backdrop and symbol.
  • Tap Buy. If you are signed in, confirm in your wallet app. If not, confirm through TON Connect by scanning a QR code. The gift goes to the wallet that paid.
  • Keep at least 0.3 Gram on top of the price for the network fee. Most of it comes back right after the transaction.
  • Find the purchase in the Collected tab of your profile.

How to sell a gift on Getgems

Sign in, open the item and tap Put on Sale. Choose the coin and the price, then confirm in your wallet; putting an item on sale costs a small gas and service fee. You can remove it from sale later.

Getgems deducts its fee from the sale: 2% for Telegram gifts. On a gift sold for 100 TON you receive 98 TON. You can also sell through auctions and by accepting offers.

Moving a gift from Telegram to Getgems

You can trade a gift on Getgems without exporting it, as an off-chain gift.

Send only collectible (upgraded) gifts: regular gifts sent to @gemsrelayer are lost. Send from your personal account, not a channel. If you buy a gift with Stars while sending it, Telegram locks it for 21 days and it cannot be withdrawn in that time.

  • In your Getgems profile open Edit Profile and link your Telegram account under Connected Telegram Account.
  • In Telegram open the @gemsrelayer account, tap the three dots and choose Send a Gift.
  • Go to My Gifts, select the collectible and send it. The transfer costs 25 Stars, and the gift appears in your Getgems profile within a couple of minutes.

Getting a gift out of Getgems

Back to Telegram (off-chain gift): link your Telegram account and send “Hi” to @gemsrelayer so the bot can message you. Open the gift page, tap Withdraw a Gift and confirm in your wallet. The gift must not be listed for sale, and the withdrawal costs a fee in Gram.

Into your wallet: on the gift page check whether minting is available, tap Mint gift and sign the transaction. The Offchain label disappears and the NFT appears in your wallet.

From a wallet to a Telegram profile (on-chain gift): Getgems sends you to Fragment, My Assets > Gifts > Transfer to Telegram. Its help says Fragment requires KYC for this.

To another wallet: tap Transfer NFT on the asset page, enter the address and sign. Use a non-custodial wallet; for @wallet in Telegram, copy the TON Wallet address from its DeFi tab.

Getgems fees

Each figure below comes from Getgems' help center:

  • Telegram gifts: 2% of each sale, whether a direct sale, an auction or an accepted offer (fee page, updated 10 July 2026).
  • Telegram usernames and anonymous numbers: 1%. Other NFTs: 5% (same page).
  • Network fees: keep at least 0.3 Gram in the wallet; most is returned after each transaction (buying guide, updated 6 September 2026).
  • Depositing a gift through @gemsrelayer: 25 Stars, paid in Telegram (guide to adding a gift, updated 18 February 2026).

Getgems' support account is @nfton_bot and its official channel is @getgems. Getgems says its team never writes to users first and never asks for your wallet's secret recovery phrase.

Getgems lists NFTs from many independent creators and says it is not affiliated with them. Buy Telegram gifts from the Telegram Gifts collection on Getgems.

How Getgems differs from other gift marketplaces

The main differences are the fee, the wallet and the off-chain option:

  • Fragment: 5% per sale against Getgems' 2% on gifts. Fragment is where Telegram's gift export happens; Getgems adds off-chain trading and a mini app.
  • Telegram's marketplace: you pay in Stars inside the app. On Getgems you pay in Gram from your own wallet.
  • Portals and Tonnel: they keep gifts and TON in an in-app inventory and balance. Getgems works with your own wallet for on-chain items.
