What Portals is

Portals is a marketplace for buying and selling Telegram gifts. It runs as a mini app inside Telegram, under the bot @portals (Portals Market). You trade from an in-app balance in Gram (TON's coin, called Toncoin until June 2026; 1 TON = 1 Gram), and the gifts you buy stay in your Portals inventory until you withdraw them.

The Portals Community channel lists its official accounts: the app @portals, gift deposits @GiftsToPortals, support @portals_help_bot and news @portals_community. On 10 October 2026 Telegram showed 280,201 monthly users for the @portals bot.

Getting gifts and TON into Portals

To sell a gift you hold in Telegram, send it to @GiftsToPortals. Portals says to send gifts only from your personal account, never from a channel, and tells users to be aware of scammers.

Top up your balance with Gram (TON). Since 9 October 2026 Portals also accepts top-ups from Telegram's built-in wallet, Telegram Money. In selected countries you can pay through local payment systems; gifts bought that way cannot be transferred, sold or withdrawn for 7 days.

Pre-Market lets owners list newly released gifts before they can be traded. The seller locks a deposit of 50% of the price and gets it back on delivery. If the gift is not delivered on time, the seller loses the deposit and part of it goes to the buyer. The buyer's money is held until the gift arrives.

Buying on Portals

Open @portals and go to the Marketplace. Filter by collection, price, model and other attributes, then buy at the listed price or make an offer on any listing.

Lucky Buy, added in May 2026, is a way to try for a gift below its listed price. You set a bid or a win probability and a wheel decides. If it hits, the gift is yours at that price; if it misses, you do not get the gift. A demo mode lets you try it without real TON.

Selling and withdrawing

You can list one gift or several at once. Sending a gift to another Portals user inside the app costs nothing. Withdrawing sends gifts to your Telegram account, and you can withdraw several in one tap.

Check the withdrawal cost in the app before you confirm: the Portals channel does not list a fixed rate. Withdrawals run in a queue, so they can slow down at busy times. Portals reported such delays in February 2026, after Telegram released gift crafting.

Portals fees

Portals announces its fees in its channel. They have changed several times:

  • Marketplace commission: 2%, since 10 July 2026.
  • 11 May to 10 July 2026: 0% on all trades.
  • From January 2026: 0% on Plush Pepe, Heart Locket and Durov's Cap only.
  • June 2025: 2.5% on sales; a 100 TON listing paid the seller 97.5 TON.
  • Sending gifts between Portals users: no fee.
  • Earlier promotions, from July 2025 to May 2026: 50% of the market fee returned as cashback on some collections for a limited time.

Games, staking and other features

Portals Games is a separate part of the app. In Arena, players bet gifts or Gram against each other and the winner takes the pot. Solo games such as Escape also accept bets in Stars since August 2026. A gift or Gram used as a bet can be lost.

Gift Staking pays a share of a reward pool for gifts kept in your Portals inventory. You re-activate it every 7 days, and the rate changes from week to week. Gram Staking pays interest on your Portals balance; Portals announced 16% APR in August 2026.

Portals also sells Telegram Stars and Premium for yourself or as a gift, paid in Gram or through local payment systems.

How Portals differs from other gift marketplaces

The main difference is where your gift and your money sit:

  • Telegram's marketplace: inside the app, priced in Stars or TON, no deposit or withdrawal needed.
  • Tonnel: also a mini app with an in-app balance. It charges 0.5% in total since 27 September 2026, against 2% on Portals.
  • Fragment and Getgems: they trade gifts as NFTs from your own TON wallet. Portals keeps gifts in its inventory until you withdraw them to Telegram.
